Stan's Biography
Over the years, it's over 30 now; I have tried
hard to help people with the very real problem of Hair Loss, Thinning
Hair and Dandruff type of scalp problems. Those of us who suffer
these problems can experience all sorts of depressions and embarrassments.
I've tried to be honest and give advice and treatments
that have been both helpful and effective and at the same time keeping
away from so called wonder baldness cures, there aren't any, magic
potions and prescription type of drugs that have potential side
effects, we have enough problems keeping healthy without inviting
such problems. Most hair loss thinning tends to be hereditary i.e.
Male Pattern Baldness. Women, unfortunately can suffer the same
fate. I wish that this wasn't so because I think for a female it's
a particularly depressing event. Other forms of hair thinning i.e.
because of a severe scalp condition, some forms of alopecia can
respond successfully to Trichological treatments. Always remember
that long term benefits from hair and scalp treatments do take time,
Rome wasn't built in a day.
It's not all gloom and doom, my Father was bald
at an early age, this didn't impress me then at all, I had enough
problems with being an ugly young man and at the same time I also
had a dandruff condition. The thought of losing my hair as well,
made me determined to find out all I could about this subject, hence
I studied hard and have practised for some years as a Hair and Scalp
Consultant. I have helped people over the years to slow down their
M.P.B., sometimes arrest it, some fortunate ones have had re-growth,
all this has been achieved with natural products, no wonder cures,
but by common sense solutions and realistic advice. These products
have helped me with my potential hair loss problem and my real dandruff
disorder and I can gladly report that at the age of 60, I still
have a reasonably good head of hair and absolutely no dandruff problem because my scalp is clean and healthy. I'm still ugly
but have given up the search for a wonder cure, I'm happy just to
have my hair and a healthy scalp, please remember, with a healthy
scalp the chances of keeping ones hair improves.
I sincerely believe that trichological solutions
and shampoos help most people, of course some may not get any noticeable
benefit and I'm sorry about that but at least they won't do any
harm and they won't make the problem worse.
If you have bald areas on the crown and the temples
you may consider having a hair transplant but please do shop around
and always have a consultation with a reputable hair surgeon, your
GP maybe able to refer you to one, and ask to see a patient who
has gone through the procedure.
Realistic hair replacement maybe the answer, it's
quick, clean and gives you what you want, Hair! The latest units
are fantastic and you can have as much or as little hair as you
want, you can also have a little gradually so you suddenly don't
appear with a full head of hair. Please see my Hair Replacement
page for info on both these procedures.
I wish you all good luck, health and happiness
and most of all, a healthier scalp and a fuller head of hair. The
future is bright; a lot of work is now being done by scientists
the world over to get that elusive hair loss cure.
Kind regards,
Stan The Hair Man
